White House Easter Egg Roll

The event is for families with children under 12 years old. There is live music, storytelling, and of course the big Easter egg roll. In 2009, the event attracted more than 30,000 families, so expect a big crowd if you plan to attend.

If you can’t make it to the event, you can purchase a souvenir egg online at the National Park Foundation website.  Each wooden egg is expertly crafted and includes the signatures of the President and First Lady.

Tickets to the event are distributed through an online lottery system. Visit www.recreation.gov to apply for the ticket lottery. Entries for the 2010 White House Easter Egg Roll Online Lottery will be accepted from Thursday, February 25 at 12:01AM (EST) through Sunday, February 28 at 11:59PM (EST).

Travel Tips
