Washington Auto Show

National lawmakers return to Washington in late January, and it’s no coincidence that the Washington Auto Show is timed to their return. This automotive extravaganza takes full advantage of its proximity to Congress, federal agencies and the international diplomatic corps to showcase the industry’s latest products, prototypes and innovative technologies.

Consumers are the real beneficiaries of this high profile show, which some have described as “new car heaven.” In this case, paradise spans five days, two stories and multiple acres, and offers a chance to see and touch more than 700 makes and models from 42 manufacturers. The Auto Show features an array of local celebrities including sports stars from the Washington Capitals, Wizards, Redskins, DC United and World Wrestling Entertainment. Kids will delight to see cartoon stars from PBS like Super WHY.

This year’s show runs from Friday January 27th, 2012 to Sunday February 5th, 2012. Weekends tend to attract the biggest crowds. Advance tickets can be purchased online.
