Peak Bloom Dates Announced for the Cherry Blossom Festival – Updated

Every year the National Park Service estimates the peak bloom period for the Washington DC cherry blossom trees. Peak bloom dates are defined as when 70% of the blossoms are open.

The National Park Service (NPS) has updated the peak bloom prediction of the cherry blossom trees for April 6-8, 2013.

(The National Park Service previously announced that the peak bloom would be April 3-6, 2013, 2013, but cooler temperatures caused the prediction to be updated.)

The 2013 National Cherry Blossom Festival, is held from March 20 – April 14, 2013. click here for a calendar of events.
